Fun Facts: Chapter 4 was actually scripted by Matthew while flying on the plane to visit family in Seattle, WA for Thanksgiving. Mark was invited to come along for the holiday which meant... another Mark and Matty adventure. Originally scripted to have happened in an alleyway, Chapter 4 was shot on Thanksgiving Day at Bellevue Square Mall. Seeing how the Mall was closed that day, the location made a perfect setting for the short... once security drove by and gave Matthew the OK to shoot. Robert Butterworth is actually Matthew's oldest cousin. Knowing that his cousin was a huge Star Trek and Star Wars fan, Matthew wrote a part for Robert that had him using an array of the sci-fi weapons and effects used in both series. Butterworth is the first time another character has been introduced in a Mark and Matty short.

This chapter brought on the question time and time again in emails and phone calls to both Mark and Matthew: "What happened to Chapter 3?" Originally, Mark had the idea to skip ahead to Chapter 4 to make it seem like there were a lot more "classified" chapters. Chapter 3 does make an appearance though, later in the series.
