Fun Facts: This LONG-AWAITED episode was originally cast to feature another actor in place of Tyler. When Mark and Matthew went out to begin shooting, they came up with the end gag that led their first actor to refuse the part. Thinking that the end gag wasn't that big of a deal, but quite the closer of the episode, Matthew quickly called around town and asked several friends to step in. Within 30 minutes after losing the original actor, Tyler Ham signed on and was in front of camera.

Originally to be shot outdoors, due to the original actor's canceling, the shoot was moved indoors, at Tyler's home. The black and white format was chosen due to low-lighting in Tyler's house and helped push the idea of Mark dreaming.

The Mai Tai was invented by Victor Bergron, better known as Trader Vic. "Around 1944, I was sitting at the service bar at Trader Vic's in Oakland and the bartender and I decided to come up with a new drink. We talked about creating a drink that would be the finest drink we could make, using the finest ingredients we could find. And the Mai Tai is what we came up with."

A month before this M&M episode was shot, Tyler had a house-warming party in which he served his famous Mai-Tai's, the reason for the mention in the episode.

This is ALSO, the first M&M episode to feature all original music.
